should i delete domain mapping on WP.com

  • i currently just upgraded to my own hosting(host gator). and now use WP.org

    i changed the servers from godaddy to hostgator, but my website seems to be going back-and-forth with my old website(on WP.com) to my new one(on WP.org)

    should i delete the domain mapping on WP.com? i feel like this is the root of the problem.

    Not yet. If your DNS is pointing to your self-hosted blog and only your self hosted blog, then that WordPress.COM setting does not matter one bit. I think your DNS entry for your blog may not be well.
