    Hi,

I just installed your plugin and it works perfectly, thank you so much.

I’ve set my own version name and just wondering after I made an update to my site, should I keep this plugin to be activated? Does that mean my user’s browser will not reload the cache when no change to my version name? Or should I disable this plugin or do some settings after every update, so that it can save my server’s resources and the users don’t have to reload cache every time they enter my site? thank you.

    Hey @angelawu,

First of all, sorry for the late response! For some reason, I never get notifications about new topics.

should I keep this plugin to be activated?

Yes, you should keep the plugin active.

Does that mean my user’s browser will not reload the cache when no change to my version name?

Correct, if you leave the plugin enabled, the assets of your website will use the version name you have set and browsers will cache that version. The browser will only load an asset from the server when the version name in Cache Buster is changed.

Or should I disable this plugin or do some settings after every update

As mentioned above, you should leave the plugin active and change the version name whenever you update your Javascript or CSS files (via code or theme update).

Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for trying one of my plugins!

    Kind regards,
    Mwale
