Should I install WP Super Cache on a development/staging subdomain

    I am not a developer and an unsure as to whether to install WP Super Cashe on a staging subdomain that I am setting up to rebuild my WordPress website using a new theme and some new plugins. I want to test the new configuration before copying it to my live domain.

    Should I install WP Super Cache on the test subdomain or might this cause issues if I already have it installed in the main domain?

  • The configuration is likely to change if paths aren’t exactly the same on both servers. If you have it enabled on the dev server it will make it harder to test other changes as pages will be cached.
