    Hi there,

I have more than 1,000 redirects in my backlink checker, most of them from comments. Would it be useful to optimization/page speed if I unlinked these redirects? Sometimes when I run a page speed analysis, I get the response that I need to reduce redirects. So I’m wondering if this is one way to do it.

    Thank you for your help!

  • I can’t see how links, redirects or not, would matter for page speed. Unless you’re linking large images with redirects or something.

If you get a lot of redirected links in comments, and you’re worried about server load when BLC is running, you can turn off checking these in the settings page under “Look For Links In”.

There’s no point in checking links in comments if you’re not going to fix the redirects anyway, you might as well turn off checking links in comments.
