• Hi,

My site is totally based on images. Almost 2% text and 98% images. Images are large enough 750*1022 px . Also running ads on my site. But i do need a way to speed up my site as each post contains 5 images and each image is of size i mention above. So can super cache help me in it? Because few months before i installed similar plugin on my similar image site and the result was end up with loading half cut images. Users were complaining about the images are not completely loading so i had to uninstall the plugin.

  • Supercache only caches the final HTML, and doesn’t touch images. If you use a browser check like YSLOW or something, where are your loading delays? If your images are too big, that might be the cause of it.

Or even the ad networks – some ads are slower than others.

If by any chance you are using Plesk, the culprit may be nginx, which is set up as a front-end to Apache. We have removed nginx from all our Plesk sites because it commonly serves partial images and then caches them. Not nice.
