I’m testing out the plugin combo and the sync worked perfect the first run. Then I changed the role of one of the users. I didn’t see Mailchimp update. However when I went in to the syc settings I saw it had recognized the sync but I was asked to manually resync.

Is this the way the plugin works? It doesn’t automatically sync.

    here’s the text…

Right now, the plugin is listening to changes in your users and will automatically keep your userbase synced with the selected MailChimp list.

    Status OUT OF SYNC
Subscribed Users / Total Users 0/1

    Hi @carminemorra,

You should only need to run the manual sync the first time you configure the plugin (when no users are synced yet).

After that, the plugin will automatically keep an eye on your users. If anything changes, the plugin will make sure to reflect that change in your selected MailChimp list.

For example, try configuring the plugin and then taking the following actions.

    1. Change your email address in your WP user profile, the plugin will update the email address of the corresponding subscriber too.
    2. Register a new user to your site, the plugin will add a subscriber to your selected MailChimp list too.

    Does that help?

Danny, Thanks for getting back to me.

I think I know what the problem might be. I’m trying to use the sync plugin to sync a specific Role. So the only change I made was I moved one of the two users in the Influencer-Active role to a different role.

Will the plugin sync if a user is removed from the synced Role?

    More troubleshooting:

I’m also using User Role Editor (URE) plugin and I wanted to ensure that when I have a user whose ‘main’ role is not the one MCSync is monitoring but setting the URE ‘other roles’ to the one that MCSync is monitoring that MCSync would recognize it as out of sync – it did.

    Team,
I decided to make a video to demonstrate how the plugin appears to be not working and what I’d like for it to do. Enjoy the movie!
