Show Author of Portfolio Items

Hey,
When you go in to edit a portfolio item you should have the option to select an author. If you don’t see this you may need to pull down the “screen options” tab at the top of the page and select “author”.

Hi Hannah! Thank you for the reply, but I can actually see the Author picker- the problem is that even though author is selected, it doesn’t show under the item.

Sorry, my fault. This actually isn’t an option. The only way would be to add it into a child theme.

Yes as part of the single portfolio post there isn’t code to output the author. It would have to be added by using a child theme and overriding the templates/content-singleportfolio.php file.

Could you elaborate a bit about child theme? How to create it? Would it be enought to modify templates/content-singleportfolio.php file and upload to child theme folder?

You would create a folder called templates in the child theme and then copy content-singleportfolio.php into it. then edit what you want.
