    Hi, I’d like to show the cookie banner programmatically using javascript to improve performance of my website. Setting “Banner initialization delay” helps but I use a different solution and I’d like to know if there is a way to initialize the banner using javascript. Thanks!

    Thanks for using our plugins.

    We have only the default delay settings in the plugins, this value could be increased / decreased by users to improve the performance:

    We believe the main javascript file has a minimal impact on performance, however the cookie scripts inserted by into the plugin can be very “heavy” (GTM, facebook pixel, etc).

    So for testing, we would suggest to remove all the scripts defined currently in the GDPR Cookie Compliance plugin, and test the performance with just the cookie banner with out any 3rd party code.

    Then you can add the GTM and other scripts and test again. If these scripts added are causing performance issues, it’s those scripts that should be improved / filtered for the site.
