Eventually I managed to install Flex Bradcrump for the 2022 theme. The complete path is displayed as desired and you can navigate with the breadcrumb path.

There is only one small beauty bug left. When I click on the highest hierarchy level in the navigation chain “Home> Hall > Kitchen > Stove” (i.e. “Home”), the levels below (i.e. Kitchen > stove) disappear, which is ok. But the highest level “Home” also disappears. From a navigation point of view, this also makes sense, since you’re already on Home and can’t navigate to other pages via the breadcrumb trail.

What bothers me a bit is that by the complete disappearance of the breadcrumb trail, the whole layout of the web page jumps up one line, because no breadcrumb trail is displayed anymore. The same effect occurs when you switch from home to subpages and the breadcrumb trail shows up. Everything jumps down one line.

Is there any way to always show the breadcrumb trail, that is even when you are at the top level:

    Current situation:

    Home> Hall
    Home> Hall > Kitchen
    Home> Hall > Kitchen > Stove

    Target state

    Home
    Home> Hall
    Home> Hall > Kitchen
    Home> Hall > Kitchen > Stove

Regardless, Easy Breadcrump is a great plugin. It’s the first one I’ve used to create a full breadcrumb trail for the twentytwentytwo block theme.

    Hi wortpressender38,

    Thanks for writing to us.

If you will navigate to a higher hierarchy the levels below will disappear it is the default behavior of every breadcrumb.

Unfortunately, our plugin doesn’t provide the option to keep the highest hierarchy level.
We have noted down your suggestion and we will add this in the new release of “Flexy Breadcrumb”.

Feel free to contact us for any further assistance.

    Regards
