Show button based on a user role

Hi,

I want to be able to show add to cart, add to quote or both buttons based on a user role; is this possible?

For example:
An agent should be able to see an add to cart and add to quote buttons. A customer, should be able to only see add to cart button and then have different settings if not logged-in.

Please let me know if this is possible.
