  • I’m having an issue with this too. I have pro version and none of the views are showing captions.

Hi – can you both tell us which mechanism you were using to display captions before (in NextGEN 1.9.x) and for which gallery type?

@ileete: for Pro Slideshows/Filmstrips, when adding those from the new Attach to Post interface, just choose to customize the display options (third accordion on that page). From there you can choose to display captions and you should have 4-5 options for where to display them.

I used the shortcode [ngg gallery id=x template=caption] on the old version to display the captions. Is there a shortcode for NextGen 2.0 to display captions?

    Thanks!

I just updated wordpress to 3.6 and nextgen to 2.10 from 1.3.5. I was using [nggallery id=15 template=caption] to display caption below the thumbnail but it is no longer working. I get [not valid template] error. Is there a new way to display captions below the thumbnail? Thanks.

I am also have this problem. I want to display the caption for each image to my image gallery page for each image too. Some idea please?

I am wanting to integrate Paypal into my gallery, which I have used a few times, but is now impossible with 2.0. When applying legacy themes, you get the famous [Not a valid template] error.

Is there any way of applying captions to Basic Thumbnails yet?
