show category based on user role

hello, it’s a great plugin. really love it

i’d like to know is there any way to display post under category but show by specific user role?

for example i want to show this category [catlist name=”toyota”]
then, the option i have is to show like this [catlist name=”flower” author_posts=”fernando”]. can i specify fernando as author instead of nicename? so if there is 10 author and the next day a new author post on that category, i don’t have to add his nicename.

any help would be appreciated
