show category listing from one Wordpdress site on another WordPress site

Using the switch_to_blog function.

whatever you want to pull from blog 1.

<?php restore_current_blog(); ?>

The two wordpress sites are in different databases. Does that affect anything? In place of number 1, what would I put to utilize the other blog/wordpress site?

That’s not multisite, then. Multisite is using one install for two sites. You probably can do that, but you might need a custom plugin :/

Yep, the term “multisite” and this entire forum section, is for the built in feature to allow multiple blogs in one install.

If it’s two separate databases, then you;re out of luck.

ok, i didn’t realize what multi-site meant. On another note, is there a plugin that can manage two different WordPress sites on two different databases from the same admin area?
