show category posts in admin panel

  • Hi Guys

    Is there any way to hack the admin panel so that I would be able to view the posts per category, instead of by date?

    I have quite a few cats, and I’d like to make it easier to edit posts for cats, as I’m hacking wp to use as a cms…

    I’ve been looking around, and haven’t had much success, and have read one or two blogs in the past that have mentioned that it can be done.

    Could anyone point me in the right direction at all? ??

  • Yes it can be done, not sure where I tried spotting the location where they pull out the info on the DB put can not get my finger on it yet (been searching some time now ?? ?? Maybe someone else can help out ? I would like to know also ??

    I seem to remember someone saying that they had done a popup window that displayed the categories, and when you clicked the category link in the window, it would open the posts for that category in the main edit screen. Seems like a good idea.

    I suppose you could do a blank page, using a modified version of the list_cats function?
