Show content from child sites on main site?

  • I’m a newbie to multisite best practices, and I want to make sure I plan my site correctly. Can you tell me if this is possible with a Multisite Network?

    Here’s what I have in mind:

    Main Parent Site
    Child Site 1
    Child Site 2
    Child Site 3
    etc…

    Create a few Custom Post Types:
    Resources
    Documents
    Events

    On the Main Parent Site, be able to show:
    All Resources from all Child Sites
    All Documents from all Child Sites
    All Events from all Child Sites

    Seems like it should be easy, right? But I can’t find any documentation on how one might go about displaying/aggregating content from across the network. Is it even possibile?
