Show custom profile fields

I have a theme that allows custom profile feeds. An example is Football Team, with the variable name set as football_team.

The problem I have is that when I show the profile on my posts either in an author box or widget, it only displays the name and description.

Is there a simple way of adding the custom profile fields to the output in the author box?
