    @nigelnix,

    Can you please tell us more details on what you want to achieve. Do you want to have one large image and different thumbnails for it? Or is it something else?

    Thank you for your quick reply. ??
    I have family pictures that have different size rectangular portrait images (with face and full body) and I want to only show a close-up square image of the face as a thumbnail. I don’t want them automatically generated otherwise they will be square BUT show the whole body. I have created the desired images (face only) and replaced the thumbs in the thumb folder BUT it is still displaying the auto-generated thumbs. I tried recreating the shortcode but that didn’t help. I cleared my browser cache, no joy. I will restart my browser and see. But I don’t see how that would help.

    Sorry guys, must be a Chrome issue, it is displaying fine in Microsoft Edge.

    So, as logic would dictate, switching thumbnails in the thumbs folder will work as long as the dimensions and the name remain changed, obviously.

    Thank you very much for your help and sorry for the inconvenience. ??

    @nigelnix,

    We have option for cropping the image thumbnails. What you can preferably do is to have the thumbnails to be cropped to get the view you desire. Another solution will be switching to Pro and using masonry/mosaic view, where the thumbnail dimensions depend on original dimension, thus the thumbnail is proportional to original image. Thank you.
