    Hi Folks,

I’d like to know, if there’s a way to show an events region only,if the value is not empty.

Right now, the shortcodes i’m using are
{has_location}<br/><i>#_LOCATIONNAME, #_LOCATIONREGION, #_LOCATIONTOWN</i>{/has_location} which leed to a double “,” if region is empty.

Is there a way to dosplay the region part, only, if the field has a value?

    Thanks in advance
    Jens

    hi,

yes however you need custom coding to make this work and create custom conditional placeholder – https://wp-events-plugin.com/tutorials/creating-conditional-placeholders-for-events/ (note: change event with location)

Wow, if I get it right, I have to biuld a custom add-on?
With all the tutorials? lot of work for only showing a line of text, when it’s value isn’t empty… can’t i simply somehow integrate it in the function.php?

Or am I getting it wrong?

It’s not the whole adress, it’s only the field “region”…

Because there’s currently no existing conditional placeholder for region, the only option would be to create your own conditional placehodler using the information Angelo gave.
