Show excerpt instead of post content in portfolio widget

Hi,

In the portfolio widget, there’s an option called “Show Portfolio Content” along with a customizable character limit (so for example, if I set the limit at 120, the widget will display the first 120 characters of the text from the portfolio post). Is there a way to configure the widget to show the excerpt for each portfolio item instead of the post content? I would rather write a blurb in the excerpt field and have that text show up in the widget.
