    Hi! I want my Blog Page to show only excerpts of the blog posts, not the entire posts. Visitors can click on the title of the blog post or “See More” if they want to read the entire blog entry/post.

    In WordPress go to settings >> reading >> For each article in a feed, show (Summary). I did this but it doesn’t work.

    Please advise. Thank you very much for any help!

  • generally, this is a task of locating the use of the_content() within the loop of the index (and archive) template, and replacing it with the_excerpt() and adding a ‘read-more’ link…

    Thank you so much Michael! Yes, you’re right. The problem has been solved. I added a “Read More Tag” for each blog post.

    Part 1 In WordPress go to settings >> reading >> For each article in a feed, show (Summary).

    Part 2 was to add the Read More Tag for each blog post so that it doesn’t show the summary, but only excerpts.
