Show exerpt in protected post

But I like to display the standard post excerpt of each protected post, not only the message to login etc.

This plugin is primarily used for protecting the main content of the page (not the excerpt). The excerpt output is very dependent on the theme (different themes do it differently). You might check your theme developers to find out more about how the except works in your theme. Let me know if this information helps you.

It looks like you are using a membership plugin to restrict the content.?
I suggest you reach out to the support or developer of that plugin for this.

Furthermore, I suggest displaying the “protected post message” AFTER clicking on the relevant post to ensure a better user experience, and a “smoother “nicer” web design. See screenshot..

Hi, we don’t support the excerpt option because it’s highly dependent on the theme, leading to inconsistent results across different themes and potential support challenges. Instead, we offer the following option, which can be used to create teaser content on your site:

The above documentation mentions 2 options for creating teaser content. If none of those work for your current project, then our plugin won’t work unfortunately.

This is great and is an adequate solution for me. Now I just have to find a way to bulk-include the more-tag into my member articles. Thank you. Case closed.
