Show full post instead of excerpt

  • I’m having trouble showing a full post instead of an excerpt. I’ve tried updating the <? php the_excerpt (”);> to <? php the_content (”);> and also ‘Show full post’ under the “Settings -> Reading” menu.

    Any help is great appreciated!

    what files of your (child) theme did you edit?

    have you contacted the developer of your commercial theme for help with your question?

    Thanks for the reply Michael, unfortunately I’ve picked up this job half baked and don’t have access to the developer because those details are with the last person who tried setting it up.

    The child theme won’t let me edit the theme files (only css) so I’ve been trying to edit the main theme files.
