Hi there, I’ve searched everywhere, but can’t find any information on this. I have an image on an article that I need to always show in full resolution, due to fine details. Is there a way to exclude it from Smush?

    TIA!

    Hi @suitesmile

I hope you are doing well today.

This will depend on how your theme code is built and which image it takes.

1st scenario is that the theme can take the original image, so in this case, you should disable the “Optimize original images” feature.

2nd possible scenario is that the theme takes one of the thumbnail sizes, for example, the default WP core thumbnail 300×300 or any other thumbnail size registered by your theme or plugins. In this case, you should disable compression for that thumbnail in Smush -> Bulk Smush -> Image Sizes -> Custom and disable the checkbox for that size (+ save settings).

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
