Thanks for your feedback, even though we feel a 1-star review isn’t the best way to state that you would have liked picu to work differently.
But let’s try answering your questions.
Actually, we do this on purpose.
1. We want to build a proofing solution that provides the best and easiest workflow possible for your clients, no matter which theme you are using. With thousands of themes out there, and with varying code quality, it would be a ton of work, just to make it compatible with every theme out there. Also: nowhere did we state, that picu would integrate with your theme’s design, but we changed the text to make this even clearer in the plugin description if this was confusing. Obviously that might be a deal breaker for some. That’s fine. No need for a bad review because of that – try sending an email to [email protected] (we also speak german) next time for such feature requests, we are always open for feedback!
2. The images used for proofing are usually unfinished images, not meant to be publicly displayed anywhere else than the proofing collections. That’s why we separated the proofing images (unfinished) from the normal media (finished/published) images in the library. This works for the workflow of 1000+ photographers – but if you work differently, we are glad to receive your ideas (best via [email protected]). No need for a devastating review for such questions as well ??
