Show just one image on blog view, all images on post

Hello everyone!

I love this theme because it’s simple and minimal, but it’s driving me crazy with the excerpt I think it’s called.

I just want to show just one image on blog view, then have the typical “read more” and then when you click and go into the post view, see the rest of the images. Images, or text, whatever. Is it possible to do this? I’ve tried every example I’ve seen on the internet, every excerpt plugin I’ve seen, I’ve tried using the excerpt box when making a new post, but nothing works.

Any ideas?
