Show lightbox with image gallery when clicking on a button

@jimsonn – Have you looked at using a shortcode like this:

[ngg_images gallery_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails disable_pagination=1 images_per_page=1 show_all_in_lightbox=1]

Then either choose an appropriate preview image for the gallery and/or add your “More images” button graphic to the gallery and use it as the preview image.

Wouldn’t the “More images” button then appear as the first image when the lightbox gallery is open? If so, that would obviously look ridiculous. Or is there a way to hide the first image that opens?

@cannonpult – You are correct, but this was only offered as a possible work-around not a solution to the issue at hand … what is being asked for would more likely fall under customizations that are not within the scope of support we currently offer for NextGEN Gallery.
