"Show on map" link to cat_map

I have spent the day searching for an answer, I hope I am missing something simple.’
I have used the Geo Mashup plugin all year for our “2014 Trip” with a global map and each post has a “show on map” link that opens the map with the post’s bubble open, just what I was looking for.
Now it is 2015, so I wanted to keep map for 2014 and have a new one for the 2015 trip. So I put all the posts for 2014 in “2014” category and will use “2015” category this year. I have created the 2014 cat_map page and could make a custom link to the cat_map at the bottom of each post BUT is there a way to get the correct bubble to open when the cat_map opens?
I was hoping to find a parameter to add to the “show on map” link but I haven’t found any thing like that, is there a way to have a generic HTML link look at the meta data for the post? or something? so that I wouldn’t have to write a custom link for each post for 2015 and go back and write one for each of the posts in 2014 of course?Thank you for the plugin it has worked great.
