show only player with playlist shortcode

  • Hello there,
    I try to show only a player playing the last podcast episode without any title, duration or other text around. I tried with the following code:
    [powerpress_playlist limit="1" channel="gb" post_type="ganze-bibel" date="false" type="audio" images="false" itunes_subtitle="false" links="false" title="false" itunes_subtitle="false" links="false"]
    Although i set all attributes to “false”, I stil get a title and a subline beyond the player with title and duration. Can I get rid of that somehow?

    Hello @yuppie77,

    I checked your shortcode on my sandbox, it works as designed from my test. Only the episode title is displayed, the image, program title, no links, itunes subtitle and date are not displayed. Is this not what you are observing? If so, please reply with the URL to the page where the playlist is displaying incorrectly so I can take a look.

    Hi Angelo,

    thanks for your help. You are right, i mixed up the title with episode title. It displays the episode title above and below the player. I would like to just show the player bar and no text at all. Is that possible?

    Hello Ilonka,

    Happy new year!

    Currently it is not possible, I was messing with the source code this week to see what happens if you put no titles or labels, and you end up with blank lines. We are using the playlist player built into WordPress, the styling requires at least something is there.

    We do have on our feature TODO list an option to display the latest episode in the default player (not play list player). I suspect that may be the feature you are looking for?

    Hello Angelo,

    thanks for checking! Yes, the planned feature on the player shortcode sounds exactly as what I am looking for. If I see it right to reach that exact display at the moment I could only work with player shortcode and URL. But as we have a daily podcast, I would have to change the URL every day. So I guess for now we will cope with the playlist feature as it is with the episode title.
