My website is an online store that sells handmade pottery.

When a piece is sold, I don’t want to continue to display that product in the current shop catalogue. (EVEN if a “sold out” badge would be shown with it.)

I would like to show all sold pieces only in an archive.

How can I hide sold pieces from the store catalogue but display them in a past products archive?

    thanks for any help!

  • Hello @susantau,

This isn’t possible without heavy customization or a theme/plugin that does this already. Off the top of my head, you would need to modify the standard WooCommerce archive to hide all sold-out products so they don’t show there. Then you would need to create a new archive template specific to the sold-out products then set that as the page template for the page you create to display them. If you are unfamiliar with the code necessary to do this work I recommend reaching out to one of our customization specialists at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    I hope this helps!

We haven’t heard back from you and hope you have found a solution to this. I am going to mark this as Resolved at this time. If you have another issue please feel free to open a new post. ??

    Thanks!

    Hi Phillip,

    Apologies for the delay responding.

I appreciate your informative response. Since I’m not a developer, I have turned my thoughts to other ways to add images, at least, of past products on a page of our pottery site. I am currently looking at the possibility of adding a gallery by way of a plugin. If/when I am able to achieve this, I will return here to this thread to report on how I did it.

    Thanks again for your info!
    Susan
