Show posts based on poster user level

Hi there,

I’m fairly new to WordPress and i’m just trying to hack around with it to see if it can provide the same functionality to what i use at the moment.

I haven’t managed to work out if i can show posts on the main index.php of my template based on the users who have made posts within the installation.
Say i want to only show posts made by people with a level of 6 or more, how would i go about doing this?

I’ve had a play around myself but not managed to get this fully working, which is quite irritating as i’m sure there is a way for it to be done!

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I’m more than willing to learn myself, i just need a starting point ??
