Show posts from same category in footer

To have a better understanding of the issue, and to perform a test from my end, may we ask for the specific shortcode you added to your sidebar, and the one added you’re adding in your site’s footer as well?

[wp_show_posts id="3278" settings="taxonomy=category&tax_term=current"]

Here is the shortcode in my footer:
[wp_show_posts id="3283" settings="taxonomy=category&tax_term=current"]

Can you kindly check the settings in the Posts sections of your specific list? There should be no Taxonomy set for the specific shortcode you provided to work.

Adding specific categories here would override the “settings” set in the shortcode.

Furthermore, does using the same shortcode you use in the sidebar on the footer have the same result. That is, can you try adding

[wp_show_posts id=”3278″ settings=”taxonomy=category&tax_term=current”]

on the footer and check if this would also query all recent posts?
