Show posts on homepage in 2 columns

Hey,

maybe someone can help me with the issue.

I made the widgets hidden on the homepage and now i’m looking for a way to display the posts on the homepage (only) in 2 columns.
I think it could be made with the css, but i’m no hiero on that, maybe someone could explain me howto?
