    Hi

    Is there a way to display the primary taxonomy first, not have them alphabetised?

    @saltmediadevon Can you please clarify what you mean? Where are you trying to reorder the taxonomies specifically? If you can provide a screenshot it would be helpful.

    Basically i have some area locations as categories eg Cornwall (Main) > Truro (child)

    If i set Truro as the primary category, when the categories show on the front end they are not shown with the primary category first, they are still in alphabetical order, Cornwall > Truro

    We understand you have some area locations as categories and if you set one of them “Truro” as the primary category, the primary category doesn’t appear at the top of the category list when viewing from the front end part of the website. Let us know if we are misunderstanding anything here.

    We are afraid to say that rendering the category depends on the currently active theme as Yoast SEO doesn’t render the category list at all on the front end part. Therefore, you’ll need to either perform customization on the theme level or reach out to the theme support to see if they can assist you with this.
