Show Profile Pic Caption, Title or Alt Tag?

  • Any way we can show title, caption or alt text for the avatar if it’s in the site media library?

    At the moment the alt tag applied to the image tag is the name of the author.

    If I understood correctly you want to use a custom alt value instead of the author name, is that correct?

    I want to use any of the attachment metadata, not a custom field: post_content (attachment description), post_excerpt (attachment caption)

    Could use the alt tag but I think the _wp_attachment_image_alt (image alt tag) is in post_meta.

    Sorry for the wait, weekend got in the way.

    I might heave misunderstood you originally, I through you wanted to change the alt value on the img tag.

    But you actually want to display it in plain text (not as a tag attribute value), correct?

    Which method do you use to switch the avatars over to local instead of Gravatar?
