Show related posts based on advanced custom field

I’m hosting a blog about books, and beneath every single post i show some specifics about the book I reviewed. One of those is the genre the book belongs to. I would like to show posts about related books beneath the post as well, and it seems logical to do so based on genre.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to alter Jetpack related posts towards the situation that it shows related posts based on an Advanced Custom Field, called genre.
