Show sidebar on homepage (Virtue theme)

In the theme options panel, at the top of the home layout settings you can select to use a sidebar and choose which sidebar to use. Don’t need to mess with any code.

Hi,

I’m using virtue free theme and woocommerce. I’ve tried to add the sidebar as you said and choose the layout with the sidebar on the following field:

Display a sidebar on the Home Page?
This determines if there is a sidebar on the home page.

But the sidebar doens’t appear on the home/shop page. Here is my website: https://www.nautlet.com

Hey oliwerb, looks like you’ve got your homepage set to your shop page. You can add a sidebar by going to theme options > shop settings and choose to display a sidebar on the shop page.

@dhirajkahol it looks like in your settings you’ve select a page template for your home page.. you’ve selected the fullwidth page template in fact, switch to the default template.

I basically want a full width home page showing featured products, without a sidebar. Need a sidebar on rest of the pages. Doo-able?

Yes you can have a sidebar on the rest of your pages. Using the sidebar page template and for the shop page, you can add a sidebar in the theme options.

Sidebar shows up in all pages except the Product pages.

– I have set the Shop page in the Theme options to display the sidebar.
– I have a static page set as Home Page. Changing it to display the Shop page with a default template doesn’t change anything.
– I have a set the Home Layout in the Theme options without a sidebar.

Sidebar still not showing in the Product pages. Am I missing something?

Hey sorry for the delay.

Products are a custom post type and with the free theme there isn’t a setting to add a sidebar. It’s only with “pages” and blog posts that you can choose with the free theme. Single Products automatically are full width. Sorry for the confusion.

You can make a page with products plural have a sidebar with the free theme.

Oh maybe I got it… I chose FEATURE under “Model” while editing page! Is it?

spinips you page template is full with for your home page make it default.

I LOVE this theme! I too can’t seem to get the sidebar to show on my homepage (www.wakeupflawlesshair.com). I’m In the theme options panel, at the top of the home layout settings, and selected to use the sidebar option then saved it, but it is still not showing up on my main page. Please help.
