Show site to friends while in coming soon mode

    The is an option ‘Frontend role’, but how can someone login to preview the website? How can I add a login to the coming soon page?

  • Hello @tastymouse,

    You can create new users (with any role, but make sure to add that role to “Frontend role” setting) for your friends, and they can log in using domain.com/wp-login.php (replace domain.com with your real domain).

    You can also enable “Dashboard Link” from “General” settings if you want to display a log in link on the maintenance page.

    Later edit: another option is to give access based on their IP addresses. See “Exclude” setting.

    I tried that but it doesn’t work. One gets send to the Coming Soon page. I don’t have the IP addresses.

    Extra edit: I had to add the homepage url to the Redirect field.
