"Show slideshow" button disappears

Edited: Now I have a new problem: the thumbnail-show says that gallery not found. The slide-show works, but I don’t like the caption appears only when I hover.

@hymer – You are describing the Lightbox Effect as a Slideshow and it reads as though it is working as expected. If you are not satisfied with how that slideshow displays the captions you may find a better one under Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects.

We include several as a convenience, you are welcome to use a different Lightbox effect if you prefer and set the NextGEN Gallery option to no Lightbox.

Thank you,photocrati, but my main problem is not the slideshow. It is not posssible to close the thumbnail-show and the slideshow-button disappears when I have the picturees one by one.

@hymer – I’m not really certain what you are asking, can you provide a link to your site where this issue is so I can have a better look at what you are describing.

@hymer – Yes, that is correct.

You are using the show ImageBrowser option for that Thumbnail gallery and there is currently no “return to gallery” option available in that setup. Also, the ImageBrowser display does not have a coinciding Slideshow display like the Thumbnail display does.

Have you considered not using the “Use imagebrowser effect” option and instead just using a Lightbox effect?

I just cahnged to Lightbox effect, but the problem is not solved.

@hymer – I just visited your site and you are still using the ImageBrowser display for thumbnails.

Please, help me more basicly, I cannot find the settings for that.

@hymer – If you are using a shortcode to insert the display you will need to go under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails … and make sure the “Use imagebrowser effect” is set to No.

Do the same thing when using the IGW (“green button”) in the Customization panel for the gallery you are displaying.
