Thanks for using my plugin! Unfortunately, there are a few tricky things about this.
The star ratings are not included in the review feed that my plugin looks at, so it would require looking at another source (likely the Apple Podcasts page for the podcast). Like the reviews, the star ratings are going to be different for each country. If you change the country code in your Apple Podcasts page URL to another country you have star ratings in, you should see a different number of star ratings. Currently, the plugin can only check so many country feeds before it gets timed out by Apple for making too many requests in a given time period. If I add another item (the podcast page) to check for every country, it’s going to time out more frequently, checking even fewer countries each time you run it.
Also, I need to figure out how to display the data. I guess I could add up the total number of ratings from all the countries and display that above the table.
There’s not a good way to add them to the table.
There’s no user data (as far as I can tell) for the star ratings that don’t have associated reviews. All I have is the country that the ratings came from, so many of the entries in the table would be nearly empty.
I also don’t have the number of ratings for each star rating without a review. Apple Podcasts displays it as a bar graph, without the number. If all your ratings are 5 stars, it’s easy because it’s the same number. If you have a small number of ratings, you could make a calculation based on the bar lengths. But once you get to a lot of ratings, it will be hard or not even possible to calculate.
I’ll keep this feature in mind for a future version, but I can’t make any promises. Honestly, I have a bunch of other priorities that will mean this won’t be added anytime soon, even if I do decide to add it. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now.
