• Hello everybody,

    Im having the following problem.

I have a category called Brands. If you click on this category, you should see a list with
subcategories. I want these subcategories to appear as posts. Each with an image on the left,
a title above, a button with a link to the post and a function that shows how many posts
    are inside the subcategory.

    How can I do this?

    Greets,

    Rudolf

  • Create a category called ‘brands’ (or something). Create posts for each ‘sub-category’ and assign them to the ‘brands’ category. These posts are ordinary posts so they will have whatever title you give them and that title will be a link to the post itself. You can duplicate this link in a button leading to the post as well, if you want.

For the image, you can use the ‘Featured Image’ function if your theme supports it, or just put an image in your post in the normal way.

You then display these posts in a category list.

There may be some other tweaking to do to make sure the image appears in the category list and that the category list looks like you want it to (e.g. you may not want it to say ‘Category list: brands’ (or whatever) at the top of the list, and so on.
