Show summary on index page

  • hello,
    I want to show summary of the post on the index page (not the full post). I want a link like Read Full Post then the whole post will display when you click on that link or the title. Is this possible????

  • when writing a post, switch to CODE view and add

    <!--more-->

    where you want the link to be displayed. Everything after the command MORE will be shown only in final post

    <the_excerpt> is not working in WordPress 2.5. Any other option???
