The plugin does not combine posts, pages, tags, taxonomies etc into one “tag map.” Each one of those options uses different logic to create the output. If you want to write your own custom function you can do so by making a folder named “multi-column-tag-map” in your theme’s directory. Move a copy of the plugin’s “mctagmap_functions.php” into that folder. There you can make PHP changes that will not be overwritten when you update the mctagmap plugin.
You’ll need to combine the arrays of posts and terms and then modify all the output so that the correct links are displayed and all other options pull through.
