Show teaser animation before page displays?

  • Hi!

    I have a client who wants to show a 6 second teaser animation before the page content is shown on one page.

    Is there an easy / efficient way to do this.

    I thought of creating a slider but that would mean adding all the page content to the slider and not be all that easy to update.

    Is there a way to:

    – show xyz.mp4 only on the screen (eg: no controls etc) – then once the video/animation has completed load the regular page with header/logo/content etc?

  • I would use a jQuery modal popup which loads when the page opens and set it to cover the whole screen.

    Can I use a plugin to achieve this, or if not, can you point me in the right direction for some idiot proof instructions.

    I like the idea of a full screen overlay which disappears to reveal the page though!

    Search for modal popup in the plugins directory, there should be a few that you can adjust to do what you’re looking for.
