Show this popup if particular language is selected

    I am building a bi-lingual site and have built one popup for users using English, and one for users using Japanese. However, at the moment both popups show, one under the other. How can I get the relevant version to show up based on browser language detection?

    Or failing that, can I get a popup to only show if a particular language is currently selected via WPML language selection?

    Have you translated the popups using WPML? or you just created two popups?

    hi damian!
    same problem here: i made the popup translatable with wpml and translated it. in the end 2 pop ups (with 2 languages) get fired the same time, overlaying each other.
    is there a clean solution without touching plugin code for this (hook etc)?

    the separation of the 2 popups (german and english in this case) works now, but the [spu-facebook] shortcode is not rendered in both. the close button shortcode works though ??

    And you you have any other plugin that uses facebook or any facebook code in your site? I have a few users with facebook problems but I can’t reproduce the error or get a site with the error to test

    i deactivated jetpack and removed a facebook iframe from the sidebar – that’s the only facebook codes i had in there. but the problem persists. facebook, google+ and twitter buttons do not show up in neither language.

    I though it was facebook. So none of the three shows for you?
    If you disable wpml , they show? or you were having same issue before?
    What shortcode are you using?

    sorry for being slow!

    i turned off wpml and its displaying 2 popups one above the other (probably because i had it for 2 languages). the former english one (2nd language) has no social buttons. when i close this i see the german one (primary language) with the facebook button properly but output twice.

    with wpml turned on it doesnt show facebook button in any language. the behavior of the other sharing shortcodes is the same. only the close button works perfectly under any condition…

    i know put this shortcode in both posts:
