    Hi all,

Is it possible to show only the upcoming events in the posterboard view, but at the same time show all items in the calendar view? For example, at https://mirjamvanhengel.nl, if you scroll down to the ‘Agenda’ (calendar), the posterboard view only shows the six upcoming events, as intended. If you then go to the calendar page (https://mirjamvanhengel.nl/calendar), only the upcoming items are shown. Is it possible to show on this calendar page all items, so also items in the past, while at the same time in the posterboard view only the upcoming items are shown?

    Kind regards,
    Ben

  • Hi @kafonline,

There are multiple ways to display your calendar.

    1. Via the Calendar Page setting in Events > Settings > Viewing Events tab
    2. Via the shortcode, under Events > Settings > Advanced > Shortcodes
    3. Via the Upcoming Events widget under Appearance > Widgets
    4. Via the Superwidget addon, under Widget Creator (used to display your calendar on other websites).

For #1, you can set pre-defined filters under Events > Settings > Viewing Events tab > Pre-selected Filters.

Or you can display filtered calendars using #2 above on any page.

    Hi @sunny454,

Thank you very much for your response. I used #2, using the shortcode [ai1ec exact_date=”5-10-2016″]. This does work, however, the ordering of items is strange: it is not chronological, nor is it by category or label. Do you have any idea what is going on here? You can see the effect of this shortcode here: https://mirjamvanhengel.nl/testagenda/ .

    Thanks again very much!

PS1. On your website (https://time.ly/resources/additional-wordpress-settings/getting-started-with-the-timely-word-press-plugin/display-multiple-calendars-on-your-site-shortcodes/) the wrong quotes are used in the shortcode examples given, so copying and pasting does not work.

PS2. Option #1 did not work for me: if in the pre-selected filters I select the option to start at a different date, the calendar does so, but the posterboard view on the FP also changes.

    Hi @kafonline,

The shortcode page has been corrected with the correct quotes — thanks for the heads up.

Yes, making a change in the settings will affect all calendar views.

I believe the problem with the mixed up order may be due to a conflict, either with your WP theme, or another plugin (usually caused by a caching or security plugin)..

To test this, please try a different theme temporarily such as Twenty Seventeen (be sure to save any theme specific settings), or, disable all plugins and then check if the problem recurrs — then re-enable each one until you find which one caused the problem.

    Let me know the results.

    Hi @sunny454,

Apologies, the order *was* correct. But because the year is not displayed it looked like certain dates were in the wrong place.

    Thanks again for the help,
    Best, Ben
