    Hello,

one of our clients uses YITH to show the different variations (colors, sizes, etc) of products in the shop as separate products. Let’s say the main product is a white candle with variations orange and pink. YITH shows the main product (white) and all three variations (white, orange, pink) in the shop –> the white candle appears two times. because of that the main product is ‘hidden’ so only the variations are shown.

The problem here is, that because of the hidden main product none of the variations are shown in Facebook Shopping. So how can we show the variations in Facebook although the main products is hidden?

    Regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

As a first step, I recommend testing what is the behavior without the YITH plugin to rule out any conflict with the plugin.

More about how to conflict test here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

If that happens with only Facebook for WooCommerce + Storefront active. Please share the steps to replicate the behavior in your next reply.

    Hello,

my bad, the client doesn’t use YITH to do that, but a plugin called ‘WooCommerce Show Single Variations by Iconic‘.

We tested deactivating the plugin. That doesn’t solve the problem (the product still doesn’t show up in Facebook Shopping). What causes the problem is that we have the product on ‘hidden’ (Edit Product in the backend > Catalog visibility: hidden). If we change that to ‘shop and search results’ the product shows up in Facebook. But we have to have the product on hidden because otherwise it shows up twice in the shop when we use ‘WooCommerce Show Single Variations by Iconic’.

So the problem is: can we sync products that are set as ‘Catalog visibility: hidden’ to Facebook Shopping?

    Hi @martinklengel,

Hidden products aren’t meant to be sent to Facebook, that’s why you don’t see them on Facebook. I don’t see any easy workaround to solve this, unfortunately.

Have a lovely day ?? – take care!

    Hi @martinklengel

We’ll tag this as resolved since we haven’t heard back in over a week. Feel free to open a new support thread should you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
