Show variation description even if the price is blank

I took over a website and while working I hit this issue.
When a variation does not have a price it wont display it’s description.

To see what i mean chose the 1st variation from the drop-down, see description.
Chose last variation (250cm) and only see a generic “not available” message without the description.

How do i correct this behavior so it shows the description even if no price is available.?
