• Help. I've been using show/hide for years now and love it. BUT very recently something changed and I can't get it to work the way it used to.

I used to be able to format the the "Show More" text to be BOLD just by using this coding [showhide type="post" more_text="Show more..." less_text="Show less..."] The coding was simply<strong>[showhide type="post" more_text="Show more..." less_text="Show less..."]</strong> That put just the words "Show more..." and "Show less..." in bold. And only that text became bold. Nothing else.

NOW that exact same coding makes ALL text hidden between [showhide type="post".... and "[/showhide] bold -- not just the "Show more" and "Show less" text.

I tried coding it as [showhide type="post" more_text="<strong>Show more…</strong>" less_text="<strong>Show less…"</strong] That looks perfect until you click on "show more" when it leaves <strong>Show more text...</strong> visible above the formerly hidden text.

I also tried "more_text=<strong>/show more...</strong" and I think one other permutation. Both looked great but gave me this weird "show press release" text in the post!

This worked so perfectly for so long, and technically, it still does, except I can't give the "Show more..." the emphasis I want.

Is there a way to code this so I can get "Show more..." and "Show less..." to have the wording I choose in bold without making all the text between that point and the [/showhide] bold too?

This does seem to be still working the way I want in previous posts, I just can't get it to work in new posts (or probably if I go to update a post.)

Also The line spacing after “show more…” no longer works correctly either. It's not leaving any space between it and the text below. I've tried adding a line, but it isn't working

I'm in the latest version of WordPress using the classic editor.

How can I make this work the way I want again?
