Showing activation errors

Hi,

I am creating a plugin which creates a new database table when activated. I was having problems getting dbDelta to work and it occured to me that if the database creation failed I should be able to change the message, ‘Plugin Activated’ to something else. Also, is it possible to get any sort of error from dbDelta, it took me ages to get things working because I didn’t know what dbDelta was doing or having problems with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
