Showing All Categories, Instead of Only Parent Category

Since updating to WordPress 6.0, NS Category Widget shows all categories instead of only the Parent Category. I even tried to exclude the category IDs of unwanted Parent Categories. I always test in Google Chrome Incognito.
Can you please help? Thank you.

I updated the plugin to version 3.1.4.
Can you please test this plugin using Google Chrome Incognito?
After clearing the cache on my web hosting provider several times, the plugin is still not working with using Google Chrome Incognito. It still shows all categories, instead of just the categories in the Parent Category.
